Clinical Consultancy

Supervision of practitioners and managers is essential not only for their development and wellbeing but also for the protection of clients and the provision of a quality service.

I have provided supervision in my role as manager of Sydney Women’s Counselling Centre to both student staff and external practitioners. In 2006 I completed a 6 unit course –“Becoming a Clinical Supervisor” at the NSW Institute of Psychiatry.

My theoretical model is eclectic with my major strengths in systems theory, psychodynamic and narrative therapies. A feminist / social view of health is the philosophy that underpins the model I work with. During my years of clinical work I have developed specialist knowledge and skills in domestic violence.
As a supervisor I also seek supervision of this work.
